Death and destruction of our life today 2011 poems   23 comments

From death and destruction of our life today

From windswept mountains to sunny shores

from deep lakes to oceans roar

just look at the beauty, our earth has in store

From exotic lands to great history too

from ancient civilisations that came before you

Life is a wonder of which we have a part to play

With creatures unique and special ,in very unusual ways

From birds with colour and beauty too

Animals which amaze us which are becoming extinct too

and fish which swim deep below us too

Do a little something and help to

make a little difference and nature

will stay beautiful for you

As towns are built and skyscrapers too

as grass disappears, they call this progress for you

Where will it go where will it end

as man drives nature mad and forms this planets end

What will there be for generations to come.

A barren desert where has the beauty gone

Starvation famine drought and floods we will see

Strong winds will ravage the earth

and destroy our destiny

lots of talk happens each day

In this world we live in today

Action is important and people too

is it to late it started way back too

Our planet is so fragile and now it gets so warm too

As rains forests have gone and the ecological systems destroyed too

Man has done all this we see

for greed they chop a few more each day

Oh there’s loads over there

they wont miss these today

Do they care what they do

or what they say

No its dollars in the pockets, and life of luxury they see

As they walk past beggars, and leave people in poverty

They say technology is future, and is the key

As it takes away people’s jobs lets face reality

As people starve and get poorer each day

as people get illnesses they never had before

as pollution gets worse each day

Through death and destruction of our life today

Remember this is our planet too

And life is for living and giving too

Think of life and help save us today

Treat the planet earth with kindness

and don’t destroy it and civilization this way
