They gave there lives for us today in far flung countrys and fields so faraway   Leave a comment

The boots come out and shoes will shine

people gather and await patiently

poppy are pinned to clothes for all to see

the veterans get ready and stand at ease

awaiting the order to march forward for all to see

they wear the badges and beret and medals too

with pride and honour  the 11th hour is due

they assemble across the world in many great cities

to remember those who went before them and sacrificed they lives

in the name of king and queen and country

and those who have given service since the world wars

and many conflicts of today we remember them

as we march forward on this armistice day

don’t forget us when you go home

as we will always be here resting in fields and country’s so far away

we went in hope and peace and gave our lives so mercifully

for you back there so you could live in a peaceful world today

for this we honour and remember you on this remembrance day

as the last post sounds from the bugles played

comrades and veterans and family’s to children and parents

will remember loved ones too who gave so much with such pride courage and bravery for me and you

as they gave there lives for us today in far-flung fields and country’s so far away

we stand to attention and salute you  the fallen the brave  and the veterans too

you will be in our hearts always and in our memory’s today and forever may you rest in peace and tranquility.

a minutes silence in your memory.

IAM DEEPLY SADDENED BY WHAT I HAVE SEEN ON THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY   5 comments

I am deeply saddened by what i have seen

on tenth anniversary of 9/11

as people gathered and showed their respect

whilst shedding tears in memory

of those innocent lives that were taken cruelly

a cruel and unforgiving group of muslims

marched in london faces covered up and disguised too

yesterday saying world domination muslim rule

burning the flag of usa on this anniversary of this very sad day

how callous and cruel cowereds can these people be

if they have to hide their faces away

obvious they have no morals

and shouldnt be part of humanity

as i listened to the news a young boy in New York stood up on a podium and said

i never knew my father and i never met him

i knew he loved me and i will always love him

these words made me shed a tear

this brave young boy who had stood there

and opened up his heart for the whole world to see

how much he cared for a father he had never seen

well to all those who lost people on this day

i do have these words to say

Those who you lost so cruelly

will always be part of your love and memory

they wont forget the times you shared

and all the moments that you loved and cared

these moments so precious to you

will help you to grieve and remember them too

the smiles the laughter you had each day

the hugs and kisses and all the birthdays

the joyous moments when birth came to

proud times you had are all special to you

remember these as they remember you

and your heart will be happy

with beautiful thoughts too

god bless you all on this special day

and may your life soon be full of joy

and happy again

To all those in the world today who lost loved ones on that special day

from Kevin in Hampshire uk these words are my personal tribute to you.

they were all heroes and so are you and to all those who have given their lives in Afghanistan to fighting the war on terrorism

THE TWIN TOWERS FATE WAS SEALED A LONGTIME AGO ( IN MEMORY)   Leave a comment

The twin towers fate was sealed a long time ago

by such evil we did not know

unaware of their plans to be

the unforseen atrocity

could only be make believe

untill the ninth day of the eleventh month

many years ago

such an evil suddenly had grown

and it came across the sky for all to see

as it soon became reality

the shock and awe of so many

decent human beings

whose lives were taken

so awfully

by such evil unknown to thee

our heart and feelings go out

too those who lost their lives

and their families too

and to the many brave people

who tried to save the day

with all the strength

and courage they could find

to brave dust and fire

to attempt to rescue you

from such awful death and destruction too

the people of nine eleven

we will never forget you

from deep in our hearts

you will always be so special too

god rest your souls

and may he look after you

while you rest in peace

may world always remember you

whose live were taken so tragically too

the people of nine eleven

this is poem dedicated too you

ITS NOT EVERDAY A PLANE FLYS INTO YOUR ROOM   2 comments

It not everyday a plane flies into your room

while your at work today

smoke billows and fire spreads

people jump from high up towers

other run down in fear

before smoke engulfs them

and fate has made it clear

families worry

fireman race

to the twins who have suffered a great fate

the shock and awe so powerfully

as smoke filled tower became a tomb

so many great people

sadly faded away

there loss on such a tragic day

where none could have imagined this

would ever happen to them

as they went to work that day

as new yorker were hit

in such a awful way

as now most of rubble and iron

has been cleared away

the area stands as a memorial too

those lives who were lost

and to all the brave people who tried so desperately to save them from death too

the world stops for a brief moment and remembers you.

A DATE WITH TERROR AND DESTINY   Leave a comment

It started of as such a normal day

newyorkers went out to work and play

and do what they do each day

but from afar something bad was starting to grow

men with no feelings or moral were at play

for pure evil they had planned this day

a awful deed was on its way

on nine eleven it became reality

as planes flew into destiny

twin towers and areas of usa

had a visit from something evil this day

so many lives and family destroyed

and the memories will never fade away

and we will never forget what happened this day

as so many brave people tried to help and set about the rescue

all those innocent people trapped in burning twin towers too

god has something special for you

where no one will ever again be able to harm you

as the devil come to collect those evil few

we wont forget what evil deed you did do

your fate is sealed and you will burn in hell too

as your families have to live

and suffer the consequences for what you planned and did that day

you brought shame and embarrassment

to your fellow country men too

now your gone with allahs wrath on you

as surely will punish you.

WE WILL ALWAY REMEMBER THE PEOPLE OF WOOTEN BASSET   4 comments

This past week has become the end of something special not often seen

where small group of people got together

to remember the brave and the few

who gave there lives for our country

serving us too

they started as small group of friends

all from the Royal british legion

who came together to mark their respect and pay tribute

to our brave servicemen men and women

as they flew into RAF Lyneham

on their way home too

they passed through the wonderful town

of Wooten basset

where as their hearses gathered

and got ready for their final journey

home where there bodies

will rest and be remembered too

these wonderful people

of Wooten basset took time out of their day

to line the streets in numbers

with the family’s of the dead servicemen and women

as they passed their way

they stood to attention and saluted them

with pride they showed us something

special as their numbers grew

untill they became hundreds and drew in the media too

the local pub opened its doors to families of dead men and women

and made them welcome too

to the people of Wooten basset

are thanks goes out too you

hold your heads up with pride

you are truly kind

and very special people too

so this is from an ex serviceman

with great respect i pay tribute to you.
