For those who gave there lives yesterday
In ypres and mons where they stay
besides momuements where they lay
In our memorys they will stay
never ever faraway
They gave there lives for us today
a hundred years has passed away
They fought for peace in there day
leaving families behind on there way
They gave us hope in life today
That we may have freedom today
we wont forget the lives today
In our hearts there memorys will stay
In foreign fields faraway.

Where poppys lay in Flanders field
in memory of those who died and fell
——-
who gave there lives over many days
who didn’t ask for anything that day
————
There courage and bravery as they marched forward to
———
to give us the freedom we have today
let there memorys live on each beautiful day
in Flanders field where poppys lay
Our brave men of honour
we remember you each day

An act of terror on our streets
a man with a machete
a despicable and cruel deed
supposedly for his own belief
god will punish him indeed
as a mother and father now have to grief
at loss of their son a soldier i British soldier i believe
my heart goes out his family at this time in their grief
we are British and no more shall we accept this kind of behaviour
on our streets
each day where people are welcomed into our country
and behave in this way terrorising good people
with there words an acting this way
its time for people and government to to say enough of this
and be strong too
we all all god fearing people with beliefs too
there is no need to act like this
to promote a thought or belief as a ex serviceman
my heart my thoughts my prayers are with
this family and their loss today
and all the others from over the years
who suffered at hands of terrorist attacks
and who have shed many tears
bring back the death penalty
and let them take what they have dished out today
maybe this will world will then turn good once again
and people will treat others in a kind and humane way
enough of this violence it stops today
IN memory of a soldier who served for queen and country god bless his soul may he rest in peace Drummer Lee Rigby

By heavens light they sail away
through Portsmouth’s entrance
across the sea
many sailors have sailed in once
our great navy
from time of Nelson’s great navy
Copenhagen,Ashanti , Nile and Trafalgar
to the home of britain royal navy
is where they sail from Portsmouth
a city full of fine magnificent history
from great first and second world wars
right back to king henry viii and the Elizabethans
the pride of Portsmouth is known for being mighty
in modern times Falklands , gulf and my others times
Portsmouth has had its part to play in history
Field Marshall Montgomery
even enjoyed his football and watched our local team play
before and many great women and men of our services
left to fight on french beaches at d day
by heavens light did they sail away
stars guiding them to war and home
again with pride they were guarded by
our many ships of the great
Royal navy
Portsmouth the home of our proud Royal Navy

The boots come out and shoes will shine
people gather and await patiently
poppy are pinned to clothes for all to see
the veterans get ready and stand at ease
awaiting the order to march forward for all to see
they wear the badges and beret and medals too
with pride and honour the 11th hour is due
they assemble across the world in many great cities
to remember those who went before them and sacrificed they lives
in the name of king and queen and country
and those who have given service since the world wars
and many conflicts of today we remember them
as we march forward on this armistice day
don’t forget us when you go home
as we will always be here resting in fields and country’s so far away
we went in hope and peace and gave our lives so mercifully
for you back there so you could live in a peaceful world today
for this we honour and remember you on this remembrance day
as the last post sounds from the bugles played
comrades and veterans and family’s to children and parents
will remember loved ones too who gave so much with such pride courage and bravery for me and you
as they gave there lives for us today in far-flung fields and country’s so far away
we stand to attention and salute you the fallen the brave and the veterans too
you will be in our hearts always and in our memory’s today and forever may you rest in peace and tranquility.
a minutes silence in your memory.

As the flag lowers for the last time today
in Royal Wooten Basset as repatriation move away
stand proud and stand tall we all thankyou
for your dedication your pride
in what you do
your kindness your loyalty
has shone right through
to families of the dead servicemen and women
who came home to you
come rain come shine
you stood there and lined there route
and showed you cared
whilst stood to attention
you saluted too
those young people in honour
of them
who had served us brits people too
with pride our fallen
have done their day
so bravely they gave there lives
with great courage too
and now stand proud in heaven
as heroes too
Royal Wooten Basset they would thank you
you will never be forgotten by their families or rest of britain too
you did with pride what we should all do
show respect to our fallen heroes and remember them too

This past week has become the end of something special not often seen
where small group of people got together
to remember the brave and the few
who gave there lives for our country
serving us too
they started as small group of friends
all from the Royal british legion
who came together to mark their respect and pay tribute
to our brave servicemen men and women
as they flew into RAF Lyneham
on their way home too
they passed through the wonderful town
of Wooten basset
where as their hearses gathered
and got ready for their final journey
home where there bodies
will rest and be remembered too
these wonderful people
of Wooten basset took time out of their day
to line the streets in numbers
with the family’s of the dead servicemen and women
as they passed their way
they stood to attention and saluted them
with pride they showed us something
special as their numbers grew
untill they became hundreds and drew in the media too
the local pub opened its doors to families of dead men and women
and made them welcome too
to the people of Wooten basset
are thanks goes out too you
hold your heads up with pride
you are truly kind
and very special people too
so this is from an ex serviceman
with great respect i pay tribute to you.
