Rainbows come in a beautiful way
no crock of gold hidden there today
——-
Sun was shining this was true
along came the showers to soak you
——–
Puddles splashes everywhere
trees lose there leaves
now look bare
——–
Wind is gusting all around you
autumns here once again to
——–
Fires are lit summers gone away
a cool chill on a autumns day
——–
Birds have migrated and long gone away
dark evening are here once again.

AUTUMN CHILL 2 comments
Autumn chill summers passed away
gusty winds on a beautiful day
trees creek and groan away
leaves fall and wilt away
——
Autumn chill people freeze to
as cold wind bites all around you
———
fires are lit and smoke away
embers burn on a cold autumn day
summers long gone and truelly passed away
autumn chill is here to stay.
AUTUMN MISTS Leave a comment
Autumn mists trees laid bare
dark nights leaves everywhere
cold chill, hibernation and despair
summers gone nature prepares
birds gather berries of the trees
squirrels hide nuts and forage beneath
log fires burn with warmth and heat
wood crackles burns away
cold dark nights are here to stay
people hibernate away.
Let the heart open and birds sing Leave a comment
Let heart open and birds sing
let sun shine and winds blow
let air be fresh and clear
let silence be tranquility
peace beauty and harmony
of quite sunday with autumn leaves
rustling tumbling down from the trees
waves lapping gently up against the sea wall
as cormorants fish and seagulls soar
the beauty of ship gently rocking
up and down just of the shore
sweetness of candy floss
at a fairground
rides move people scream in there seats
laughter and happiness down at the beach
children run babies crawl
dogs bark car engines roar
pedals are pushed cycling
by
people relaxing by the seaside
under autumns bright beautiful sky.
the winds blow and leaves play 4 comments
Whislt dancing leaves rustle and play
as wind blows and sends them away
falling and floating and spiralling down
the once green grass now where s a rustic crown
yellows purples beige and browns
crumpled and crinkled all over the ground
decaying their life slowly drifting away
autumn has come and blown them away
untill spring gives new birth and trees grow again
long will the wind blow and play
with rustling leaves each autumn day
Birds fly on an autumn breeze Leave a comment
Birds fly high on an autumn breeze
gracefully and gently
so at ease
wings flapping so rhythmically
air lanes open migration is due
summer climes have left us autumn chill on view
birds soar high-flying aimlessly
cleared for take off on there long journey
across the vast an open spaces their beauty is seen
freedom is there s a they fly so freely
until they reach pastures new
to feed and rest until migration is due
they’re beauty we miss as they drift away
untill they return one spring day
they drift they drift and fly away
higher and higher in the autumn sky
on an autumn breeze flapping away
until they gracefully return one fine spring day
AUTUMNS BREEZE 2 comments
Autumn breeze waves rush ashore
white-topped ripples tumble and poor
oceans waves on our shores
darkened nights of stargazing
the beauty of the stars on show again
autumns colours ever-changing
rustic colours of reds and browns
squirrels scurry to and fro
leaping endlessly from tree to tree
and gathering acorns buried beneath thee
stews casseroles and hotpots
are the meals of the day
to warm the cockles
and keeps the chills away
cosey nights in front of log fire
sipping a heady brew
of wine or ale and beer or two
chilly autumn days and dark cosey nights
see us through untill
winter comes with its frosty chill.
MISTY MORNINGS AND AUTUMNS CHILL 8 comments
Misty mornings and frost tipped blades
white-topped grass slippery lanes
autumn chill running through the red filled veins
as cold air brushes the face
autumn mornings we have graced
shivers moments in autumns chill
wake us up it’s no frill
dark eery evenings add to the chill
Halloween beckons
free spirits roam
spooky goings on
as ghosts roam
guy Fawkes is coming
be aware too
bang flash sparkle
sky’s braced with colours
around you
nature runs and hibernates away
storing food to keep hunger at bay
trees rustle leaves depart
their journey floating
down in the park
autumn is here having its way
as plants die off and wilt away
birds migrate to warm climes too
far away from autumn chill
seas be come rough
no swimming today
summers has long passed away
AS WINDS WHISTLE AND BLOW RIGHT THROUGH 7 comments
As the winds whistle and blow right through
cracks and crevices that surround you
strange sounds emit a cry
as the darkness of night set in
and owls fly through the night sky
the hunt goes on for food
as mouse scurry to hide
or face its doom
rains lash the roof tops too
windows get splashed
puddles appear
dark autumn nights
have started to appear
long gone are hot summers days
when on the beaches did we strip and lay
or sit and drink a beer
observing people at play
in doors now huddled close too
in front of open fire with a brew
we contemplate what has been
now in the past
like a piece of history
those cold dark night
have set right in
a movie a film
let the show begin
a book or tale we may read each day
wonderous words that are on display
as dark autumn nights have their say
as hibernation sets in and we lay
snuggled up close inside the duvet
keeping the cold hidden away.
