Through the obstacle of words my eyes do gaze   6 comments

Through the obstacle of words

my eyes do gaze

at heart burning within a soul

of beauty shrouded within a haze

smoke-filled eyes hide sorrow

and pain

a love of life had

drifted away

just waiting for a moment

a chance to share

a glimmer a chance

of love and with someone kind

someday somewhere

know more sadness

or despair

  1. And it is that
    now I find
    you give me more
    than just “kind”
    You’ve given to me
    the love I need
    Together in life
shall we succeed! Loved your poem and here’s my little after thought to it 🙂 Peace and love, Terri
