Torrents of rain have flooded Thailand this year
rivers rushed through devastated many lives
and brought loss and sadness each day
as businesses destroyed
homes swept away
possessions gone memory’s disappeared
whilst rains from nature
filled the streets with tears
people rush and battle too
building banks of sand bags
to protect themselves and there lively hoods
and hoping and hoping the waters would go away
government steps in and opens the gates to no avail
waters rushed through the capital
bringing with it
disease and illness spreading through
the people of Thailand just watched in despair
as they lives, dreams and hopes were washed away
as rains visited Thailand this year and brought destruction
into there lives in such a devastating and horrible way.

Birds fly high on an autumn breeze
gracefully and gently
so at ease
wings flapping so rhythmically
air lanes open migration is due
summer climes have left us autumn chill on view
birds soar high-flying aimlessly
cleared for take off on there long journey
across the vast an open spaces their beauty is seen
freedom is there s a they fly so freely
until they reach pastures new
to feed and rest until migration is due
they’re beauty we miss as they drift away
untill they return one spring day
they drift they drift and fly away
higher and higher in the autumn sky
on an autumn breeze flapping away
until they gracefully return one fine spring day

Words of nonsense rhyming so rhythmically
words of joy so often and so beautifully seen
the beauty and passion of the written verse
so powerfully rhyming quenching our thirst
for words with reason and integrity
of life love and genuine feelings from humanity
expressed so openly from the heart
so deep within we begin to feel
words which sing words which flow
with spirit and soul
words with passion and beauty
words with rhyme reason and integrity
the pure joy of life and feeling expressed
with rhyme and reason of pure words
of poetry of life love and creativity
